How to get to La Cabrera by public transport:
- Origin: Intercambiador de Plaza de Castilla (Madrid)
- Destination: La Cabrera, Hostal Mavi (Avda. Generalísimo, 6). First bus stop of La Cabrera (after Cabanillas de la Sierra village).
- Bus number: 195 (8:05 Plaza de Castilla).
How to come back to Madrid:
- Origin: La Cabrera (in front of Hostal Mavi)
- Destination: Intercambiador de Plaza de Castilla (Madrid)
- Bus number: 196 (19:20 aprox.,the bus trip begins at Buitrago at 19:00)

La Cabrera is a village located at the North of Madrid. Starting there we will do a complete round trip to La Cabrera mountain chain, with its well known Pico de la Miel.To get there, you should take a path which starts at the Teatro de La Cabrera, and will take you up to the base of the peak.

Once there, turn slightly to the right, passing through a corridor where we will find a via ferrata which will allow you to climn a really big rock.

Once up, turn to the left direction to Pico de la Miel summit, which can be easily seen from here.

Descending to the path we were following and taking it to the left, after a few kms we will arrive to a a bifurcation. Take the one to the left and then ascend directly to Cancho Gordo summit.

During the way back in our trekking we could also take the opportunity to visit the Convento de San Antonio.

From there it is only left to go through La Cabrera streets till the starting point of the route.
